Definition

A covenant is a solemn, binding agreement between God and humanity. Unlike human contracts, biblical covenants are initiated by God and often sealed with signs or rituals.

Significance

Covenants structure the relationship between God and humanity throughout Scripture, from Noah to the New Covenant in Christ. They reveal God's faithfulness and commitment to His people.
